Sara and Dan…… “theWedding”
I will never forget the first time working with Sara and Dan at their Engagement Shoot. Sara tells us, I don’t think I can do the Snapp-Shot “Sexy-Serious” face.
I turned to her and said, I have no doubts in my mind that you can do this and that you will nail every shot.
It took her one shot to get warmed up to our cameras and from that shot on Sara and Dan both Rocked the Camera…typically nailing each on the first shot!
You might remember “theEngagement”

Sara and Dan are SO much fun to be around! Always laughing, always making cute little Sara-Noises, and so thoughtful towards us.
I’d also like to talk about their family and friends.
From the moment we met their family they made us feel like “part of the family”
So welcoming, so down to earth, so willing to make things easier on us, and always full of smiles.
Driving around the farm with Jim/Sara’s Dad, Dan and Corey is a memory I will never forget as we picked out every perfect photo location.
Now to Sara and Dan’s friends…one word – fabulous!
Everyone was so nice, so fun, and ready to rock the pose up until the wee hours that night!
We really hated to say good-bye to any of them.

Let me share a bit about “theWedding”
The location couldn’t have been any more beautiful.
Rolling Mountains, Carpety Green Grasses, Beautifully Landscaped Grounds, and their Family Home was also Picture-Perfect for Sara to get ready in.
Taking place at Sara’s Parents Turkey Farm Edinburg, VA
Sara even adorned a turkey feather in her hair as a tribute to this beautiful place.

Following the ceremony of course was Photo-Time with US!
We already had a pre-game plan since we had marked out the grounds of the family property with Sara’s Dad and Dan
So OFF we went! WE MUST beat the Rain we all said to one another as Dan frantically drove us 4wheel style throughout the humpity-bumpy non-road grounds! haha
We started with one of the beautiful rolling hills…what you can’t see or hear are all of our worries of ticks, snakes, and yes as Sara would say CowPies.
Despite all of the little worries, romance won out on these shots…as you can see.
We of course would not be happy until we got a fun shot of Dan being Dan and Singing his Heart out to Sara!
This is also a really special shot because the guitar being played in the image was Sara’s Brother’s Jasons…who sadly we all said good bye to December of 2010.
Next, the place Sara and Dan call the Snake House. An old House Hidden deep within the property…perfect for the edgy style we love.
Wrapping up the shoot with of course the fun style that would follow up to the engagement outhouse shot…”you are home” shot.
We found the cutest little red cabin, also hidden deep within their property..perfect for the “you are home” shot, as you can see their nailed the expressions we requested :)
And it’s a Wrap….as soon as we hopped back in the vehicle, the rains began to fall.

The Ceremony was full of reflections of Sara and Dan

From their dog Hank “theTank” serving as one of their ring bearers as he ever so non-gently pulled Maid of Honor Tara Marcus down the isle, to their love of music that played throughout by artists Matt and Kara Davis and readings throughout.

Ending this perfect day with the Reception.

One word…FUN!
The reception was under an awesome tent full of chandelier lighting, even having a special chandelier Sara grew up Dreaming of Hanging above her bed.
Now that it has made it’s presence at her wedding, it will indeed hang above her bed.
The Night was full of awesome Music by the Band Souled Out and Mr. Dan Anderson himself as he serenaded Sara with a special song.
This day of May 7th, 2011 Sara and Dan “theWedding” was truly perfect in our eyes and it was an honor to have been a part of it.
Jason Long was missed very much on this day, but he was there throughout the day in all of our hearts as Ms. Alesia represented him so very well.

Wedding, Photobooth Jen & Phil Front Royal Berryville Virginia

FORMALS047

Jen and Phil are such a sweet and fun couple inside and out. I will never forget how excited they were at their consultation with us, “we would like to have you not only as our wedding day photographers, but also have the Snapp-Shot Photo-Booth at our wedding” were the words they said with total excitement the moment we met them. From that moment on, it was a blast getting to know them and sharing their big day with them. Their day couldn’t have been anymore perfect. From the love in their eyes when they said “I do”, at St. Bridget’s Church in Berryville, VA to the fun in their faces when they playfully posed in the photo-booth we hosted at their reception at the Holiday Inn at Blue Ridge Shadows…what an awesome day they will never forget.

I even had my “Erin it’s a Wrap” in the booth with the happy couple.

Truly honored to have been a part of their special day. Our love and best wishes you Jen and Phil always!

Wedding Kelly & Alex

Oct032009_2212

Many of you might remember the fun Engagement Shoot we did with Kelly and Alex!
If not, here is a little refresh…..

Their big day was finally here! May 2010
They asked us to spend the entire weekend them to take part in the wedding festivities, in the Baltimore area.
The Weekend Began early for an early morning wedding rehearsal.
Everyone was so nice, so excited, and the church was so beautiful!

The wedding party looked adorable as they all were decked out in matching graphic tees made by Kelly’s sister!
Really cute

After Rehearsal we were able to check into our very nice hotel that Kelly and Alex booked for us.
But of course before checking in, it was C-O-F-F-E-E time for us!

Later that Evening….
We ventured over to the Oh so very nice Rehearsal Dinner.
Everything was perfectly planned, the food was great, and Alex’s parents were so welcoming to us!

After Dinner, back to our hotel for a good night’s sleep….chocolate on our pillow and all!

The Next Day….their big day is finally here!

We also are so excited because we had the pleasure of meeting a Makeup/Hair artist who we loved not only her talent, but her personality as well!
We highly recommend her ladies :)

They decided to see one another before the ceremony.
This was so much fun!
We were able to take part in this private moment with them, as Alex set eyes on his beautiful bride Kelly for the first time.
Us capturing every part of it.
There were tears shed, speechless moments, and lots of hugs.
A precious time indeed.

Then away we went to rock some formals!!

Then to the most amazing ceremony!
Very beautiful.

After their ceremony, the reception was held at the Baltimore Zoo Mansion house!
Off to the zoo we go!

A really cool thing that Kelly requested, was a full “Guest/Group” shot on the steps as they were announced at the reception. It was definitely a round up, but everyone did so well and we got the shot!
It was awesome :)

I will end this blog with one of the most beautiful shots, that I feel kind of shows their emotion.
They look so happy, so calm, so glad to be at the reception, so proud that they said “I do”
May I introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. LaFleur Vernet :)

Love to you both!!!!
Of course what would a Snapp-Shot Wedding be without the VIP PRESENTATION???
Their presentation was amazing!!
Kelly was brought to tears and was sooooo very happy!
What an awesome reward for us.
We really enjoyed them :)
And do you believe they presented US with a GIFT before we started the presentation?!?!
Awwwww so sweet :)

Here you can see their expressions when they were watching their dvd!!

Kelly wiping the tears of joy

Enjoying their book

Wedding Kerbe & Lee

FORMALS051DSC_5395

May 8th, 2010 Kerbe & Lee

What can I say about Kerbe and Lee.
Two of the sweetest people ever and even though we don’t ask people to smile much in photos…she truly has the prettiest smile I’ve ever seen.
They are both truly beautiful on the inside and out! And she is also the cover of the brand new SS Business Card :)

After getting to know Kerbe and Lee a bit, we realized the church just would not work for what we visualized for them in photos.
We met up one evening with Kerbe, Lee, and Carole (Lee’s mom)
We suggested shooting their photos in their nearby downtown area of Strasburg, VA…they of course trusted our vision and were so excited we were going out of our way to get these shots.

We woke up to yet another crazy-windy-day…and I mean crazy!
But who cares, we would get these photos no matter what.

The girls and the guys were a blast to work with, Lee’s Mom was simply amazing!
She welcomed us in her home and in her family right away and we are truly grateful for this.
They all made sure we were taken care of throughout the day and at the reception, I can’t say enough good things about this day we had the honor of spending with Kerbe and Lee West.

After they returned from their honeymoon…as a Snapp-Tradition, we met up for their presentation at our place.
As always, all were welcome.
They brought their Mom, BridesMaid and Groomsmen Kristin and Tim along with them to join in on the big VIP moment.
OmGoodness, it’s always so much fun to see the reactions on their faces, hear the excitement in their voices and receive the hugs and tears as they re-live the most important day of their lives.
And all because of what we do…our photos :)

Such an awesome job that turns into so much more….friendships to be cherished always.
All our love to Kerbe, Lee, Carole, the rest of the family, and the guys and girls!
All of you 100% rock!
