Oh the Warmth of a January Shoot!!!
Yep, that’s right…I said warmth in January….almost 60 degrees to be exact.
Natalie contacted me oh so excited after falling in love with our work and asked for a shoot right away.
Now typically it would be too cold this time of year, but it surely must have been in the plans for us to do their family shoot
We decided to do the shoot at John Handley High School, as the family holds great memories here since two of their boys attend school there.

What an awesome family!
We thrive off of clients who fall in love with our art and have unique personalities and styles.
Natalie and Mick are such cool parents, letting each kid be his/her own person.
You can see from the images we created, two of the boys William and Nathan are lovers of sports,
Daniel on the other hand is very edgy, artistic, and could carry his own style like no other kid we’ve met…then of course little Lili full of spunk and funky style.
We even took a bit of extra time at the end of the shoot to let the athletes go play, while we worked images of art with Daniel and Lili.
We loved every moment of working with them….so fun, so unique, so into the art we were creating!
Natalie and Mick also had their very own coolness factors, we even found out he was once in a Rock Band back in the day!
As you can see they are all simply gorgeous and we can’t wait to work with them again!

Teddy Bear:
A teddy bear is a faithful friend
You can pick him up at either end
His fur is the color of breakfast toast
And he’s always there when you need him most
Everything in life I’ll share
Except of course my teddy bear.
Beyond the Client:
I wish somehow I could put into words what this shoot meant to us.
The Love, The Trust, The Friendship, The Family Bond we have created with Steph and Drew since meeting them in 2009 is so much more than we could have ever imagined. They fell in love with our work, we fell in love with our new clients, and then throughout we have become such close friends…in fact closer than friends…they are “family”
…..and then there was Little London
We were one of the first to know Steph was expecting, we documented the pregnancy, we sat by their side throughout many hours of labor with London, we were one of the first to hold him, we took his very first pictures, and now we captured forever in time his very first Photo Shoot.
It’s already a bond like no other…in fact I do believe we even heard the title “Auntie Erin and Uncle Corey” throughout
“A new baby is like the beginning of all things-wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.”
With that being said…..here’s to many more days, months, and years of memories captured forever in time with these three beautiful people who mean the world to us. We love you guys so very much

My (Erin) favorite Christmas movie of all times is “National Lampoons Christmas Vacation”,
so needless to say I was super excited when the Jones Family came to us asking if we were up for recreating “Christmas Vacation” Movie Stills!!!

It’s always so much fun shooting with Steph and Drew, you may remember our last shoot with them when they were still “expecting” little London’s arrival.
Being the ones to have captured their Engagement, their Wedding, their pregnancy, the day London arrived, and now his very first photo shoot at Christmas is more special than words could ever say to us…as they were once clients and now they have become friends who are truly like family to us.

Now….let’s get on with a little “Christmas Vacation” movie fun!
I hope you have as much fun remembering each recreation as we had recreating each movie still……..
and now I dedicate this shoot to the Griswold, um I mean Jones Family Christmas

Of course it’s never a Snapp-Shoot without the “ERIN it’s a WRAP” shot, Corey agreed to join in on the fun this time around toooooo!!
I also thought you might find a fun smile in an “out take” with little London, he was not having any part of the “looking for the squirrel” shot

Awwww Yet another perfect shoot with baby “Quent”!
Many of you may remember how honored we were when Molly & Eddie asked us to shoot Quent’s very first Photo Shoot,
we were once again truly honored to have been asked to capture little Quent’s Baptism!
Such a special day for the little guy and for the entire McCoig and Bridgeforth Family.
As always they were all so much fun to work with and we can’t wait until the next time we capture their cherished moments.

DEZ & KRISS | ON THE EDGE FAMILY PHOTO SHOOT | ALEXANDRIA VIRGINIA

So you might be asking why did we decide to call this shoot “On the Edge”??
Well as most of you know, our style is very edgy…very dramatic and it’s very rare that we can go 100% all the way with our edge with a “little one”
Dez contacted us asking to take it all the way, to pull out the edge and dramatic lighting we are known for.
I must admit it was quite the challenge with little Trillian who is the smartest, most active little girl we’ve ever met!
To say she is full of spunk and attitude is an understatement…she freak’n rocked this shoot!
Of course as you can see her parents have quite the edge and artistic look as well.

Yes I said “shots” the look on my face of FUN and SHOCKED is priceless..SO MUCH FREAK’n FUN with these three!!

I’m going to “TRY” expressing our feelings for this couple in words…but I kinda have a feeling words just aren’t enough to tell everyone how much we ADORE these two fabulous people.

Let me take you back a bit…Steph & Drew were our first Wedding Couple when we made the transition into photographing weddings. We started with their fun Engagement Shoot which everyone knows now as “the Bed Shot” Even though we had never worked with them before, we connected like long lost friends.
Shortly after was their wedding day! We of course at that time only being familiar with the music and event industry…needless to say were very anxious to shoot their wedding. The thing is, as soon as we met their family and friends we were immediately in our element once again. Since, it has become second nature to us.
No matter how many weddings we have shot since then and shoot in the future, our hearts will always go back to Steph & Drew’s Wedding.

Now let me take you to the present…Steph & Drew are expecting their First Child!! We were truly honored when they contacted us to do their Maternity “Belly” Shoot.
We have been so busy that we haven’t had time to meet up with them since they found out they were expecting, so when Steph stepped out of the car we were so surprised at how stunning she looked!
Long flowing hair over her shoulders with a baby belly below. She was glowing and more beautiful than ever!
Working with them, we just tend to flow. No matter how long apart we always connect as if we had just seen one another yesterday.
It’s truly an amazing client turned “friendship” that we share.
We will cherish them always and we can’t wait till little London arrives any day now! We’ve all already talked about his first time in front of the Snapp-Shot Camera.

To Steph & Drew: We Love you more than words can say and look forward to our everlasting friendship with you guys.
We can’t wait to get “the text”…we are always here for you guys!

Here’s to one of our “Super-Fans” Mrs. Crishana Loritsch and her hubby Berin!!!
Crishana, who I like to call Crissy has been waiting for over six months to do a shoot with us.
Finally this warm day in July it was her big photo shoot with the Snapps
What a perfect way to celebrate their 15 Wedding

Crissy and Berin were so much fun to work with.
We joked, compared our lengthy marriages, and just enjoyed the evening together…all while they rocked each shot.

The shoot took place at The Inn at Vaucluse Spring, a place they hold dear to their heart.
As you can see it’s such a beautiful picturesque setting.
We also brought in the game of Scrabble, one of their favorite past times to do while staying at the Inn.
Of course it’s no ordinary game of Scrabble, they love falling in love all over again while playing the game…which explains how and why the board ends up on the floor at the final play

We can not wait to work with them again and get to know them better as friends!!!
Wow, what a great couple

It Runs in the Family!

All I can say after working with my two little cousins is…..
Yes indeed it truly “runs in the family”
Dylan and Brooke totally rocked out their shoot with us!

Let me fill you in a little on the story behind this awesomeness….
Their Grandmother/my Aunt is one of our biggest fans. She loves every work of art created by Snapp-Shot and wanted
so badly to set up a shoot with us. Well, the sneaky ones we all are….set up a huge surprise for her!

The thing is, Corey and I were also very surprised.
We thought it would be the average shoot with a 4 year old and a teenager.
The 4 year old not understanding why she was there and fighting us every time the camera went up and the teenager just ready to leave this joint.
Wow..was I oh so very WRONG!
Brooke, started striking the serious pose the moment she got out of the car.
I asked would we like to do smiling ones? No I know exactly what I want.
Her only requests were to be serious, a photo with her journal and a photo with her ipod..two of her loves in life.
Dylan’s reply..I can DO this! I want to rock my leather jacket and my band tees.
Ummmmmmm Well Alll Right, let’s do this!

Words really can’t even start to explain how much feeling went into this shoot.
To have two kids listen that well, and for them to feel such emotion that we were able to capture…well it truly was priceless.
A shoot I will cherish always.

Weeks went by after the shoot while the photos remained “under cover”
They were presented at our Family Christmas party as a surprise for their Grandmother/our aunt.

…..and “this” is why we LOVE what we DO.

Family Coolness!

We met Chris and Stacie at a JunkFood show a while back and have loved them since.
We were super excited when they contacted us for a family shoot with Chris’s three boys.
Corey and I knew right away we wanted to go full-force Snapp-Shot Style with them.
If any family could pull off the coolness factor, they sure could.

The Boys were full of personality and style.
Chris looks like a rockstar and Stacie is simply beautiful.
