We’d like to tell you a little about what will be one of our most meaningful weddings ever. (don’t forget to click the image links along the way)

Jim and Megan Fanale, oh the history that flashed before our eyes this beautiful saturday at The Strathmore Mansion when our friends said “I do”!
You see we met Jim in while photographing their live show at the legendary 9:30 Club on August 4, 2006
As soon as we met them, not only did we fall in love with their music, but also fell in love with these 4 amazing guys as “people who would become our very good friends”
From that moment on, we shot many many live shows, shot their press cd covers, and of course hung out just to hang as friends.
Sadly the band dismembered and their last show took place in 2011.

Needless to say when Jim and Megan hired us to photograph their Engagement and Wedding, it was the completion to our six year circle of friendship.
Megan and Jim’s Wedding was to perfection, taking place at the beautiful Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda, MD
She wore the most amazing wedding gown of Linen and Lace with Pink Pumps upon her feet, she was absolutely breathtaking.
The Ceremony Sounds were full of familiar voices from Cal Stamp and Chris Lane and the guest list was full of familiar friendship names
The night ended with a surprise non of us will ever forget! Jim, Brian, Chris, and Cal decided to take the stage one last time as “EBP”,
this is when all it took was a quick glance around the room, a quick listen to the many voices singing every lyric (including us)….
yes this is when we all journeyed back in time just for a bit.
The Love,
The energy,
The tears,
The memories that were felt throughout the room is a feeling non of us will ever forget.
This moment will truly take a place in all of our hearts forever in time.
Sadly we will be saying goodbye to Megan, Jim and Jim’s twin brother Brian as they venture on to their new life in Austin, TX.
We truly hate to see them go, but wish them all the best in the world…as they have great things ahead of them.
We want to send a special love to Megan, Jim, Brian, Cal, Chris, Amber, Ashley, and Jim & Megan’s Family….we love you all.

KING GEORGE VIRGINIA | FAMILY FARM WEDDING | LAURA AND JASON

What an exciting wedding weekend we had in King George, VA with Laura and Jason!
Their wedding was located on Laura’s Family Home, that was just beautiful.
The grounds were covered with buttercups, the horses galloped throughout, and the family dogs were there to greet us as we arrived!
Rehearsal day was perfect weather, never did we imagine the storms that were to follow the next day on their wedding day.
The thing is, Laura, Jason, and the entire wedding party and family were such good sports to just roll with it.
We did a little rearranging of the schedule and beat those pesky storms.
As you can see, their photos turned out everything and more than what we expected.
From the romance of a buttercup field, to the fun of a dodge ball play’n wedding party.
We did it all with this awesome group of people!
Our love and friendship goes out to them always

Wow, what a beautiful Spring day for Ashlee and Franz’s wedding at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club!!
I arrived to find the most awesome bunch of girls, perfectly prepared and exactly on time.
Not only were they awesome in this area of things…but I felt like I was with old friends as soon as I walked in.
I can’t thank you all enough for being so great to me!

Next came “The First Look” for Ashlee and Franz, one of the most touching moments as Ashlee’s eyes filled with tears when she saw Franz awaiting her arrival.
The moment he turned to face her, the rest of the world disappeared….including us, and that’s exactly the way we wanted it.
We captured their moment in time, their first look on their wedding day forever in time. Even the girls watched from afar as they embraced this moment.
Truly beautiful!

One of my favorite things in the world is the special bonding time we spend with our couples as we create their formal shots.
Ashlee and Franz were so awesome, Franz entertained us with golfing stories and crow snatching snack stories along the way.
I’ll always cherish those laughs we shared and all the times they told us how grateful they were for us being there…it was so awesome.

Then of course the oh so elegant ceremony, and the reception that rocked the night away!
Anyone who knows us, knows how much we love a party…we love getting right in the midst of things and
capturing those crazy dance shots that only we will remember the next morning! LOL
We truly can’t say enough as to how much we enjoyed not only Ashlee and Franz, but their family and friends who were so sweet, and so kind to us!!!
We LOVE you ALL and can’t wait to see you again.

We’d like to share our Weekend Wedding Destination to Virginia Beach featuring Lepresca and Luis with you!
WE ARRIVED TO HAVE LUIS ESCORT US INTO THE MILITARY BASE ON HIS MOTORCYCLE, HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!?!
ALMOST LIKE A SCENE OUT OF THE MOVIE TOP GUN!
Please take a moment to read about one of our favorite days……..

We drove to downtown Norfolk, VA at the Visions Hair Studio to capture every moment of Lepresca getting all prettied up!
She and her girls were the sweetest, offering me drinks and making sure I of all people was comfortable as they were gett’n their pretty on.
She also tugged at my heart strings as she broke out in hives from the wedding-day nerves…but of course I did everything in my power to help her with deep breaths
and pretty soon her nerves had calmed down a bit.
It was an amazing moment to watch and capture….Once a Simple Girl, now a Princess right before my very eyes!
I couldn’t wait to watch this beautiful princess say I do to her groom at The Lesner Inn on this perfect 60 degree February Day.

We knew after meeting Lepresca and Luis and witnessing the Romance between the two that we wanted their images to be:
Elegant, Romantic, Timeless, and Almost as if they took your breath away.
Lepresca and Luis were so awesome, they felt every emotion within the images we were creating.
We felt as if we were working with movie stars throughout the day.
They were both so sweet, so excited to work with us and so grateful to have us there photographing “their” wedding.
This was something we felt from that “Top Gun” movie moment, to the childlike smile on Luis’s face as he found us the perfect Sharpie-Shell mid shoot.
It’s something that will live in my heart forever!

SNOW in October!?!?
Yep, Mark and Cindy dreamed of a Fall Colored Sunset Wedding, instead they got a Fairy Tale Snow Covered Wedding!

We woke up to a snow covered morning…plans were to let Cindy and Mark know if we could make it on the back country roads.
Our text message to them…”we will be there no matter what”
So off we went through snow covered roads, downed trees, and snow up to our ankles.

We drove up to a picture perfect snow covered Inn…Corey and I just simply smiled and said “let’s do this”
Cindy and Mark were so awesome to work with, it was like spending the day playing in the snow with two close friends!
They worried more about “us” than they did about themselves”
We can’t say enough how much we enjoyed them…and look forward to our ever growing friendship with them!
We love you both, and a little message to Cindy….did I keep my promise??

Can you say “FUN WEDDING”??
Can you say “FUN COUPLE”??
Can you say “INFLATABLE SLIDE”??
Can you say “WEAR YOUR CHUCKS”??
Can you say “Snapp-Shot PHOTO BOOTH”??
Yep Lindsey and Matt’s wedding was all of the above and so much more!!!
Their wedding was so unique from the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich at their ceremony, to their inflatable Slide that YOURS truly slid down hand in hand with the bride and groom!

You will also notice we took our edge to the extreme a bit with one certain shot, you might like it or you might not…we all happen to love it!
When Lindsey and Matt asked us to use our artistic vision for a “smoking shot”…we gladly accepted the challenge and went full force with it and so glad we did.

I do believe our images will tell a much better story of how much fun this couple was than my words couple possible express.

I remember meeting up with Laura and Hal for their pre-wedding walk through, they described everything they were dreaming of for their perfect day…..
Candle-Lit Lanterns, A BlueGrass Band / Gold-Top County-Ramblers, Fun with Polaroid Cameras, Pie verses the traditional cake, Corn Hole, A Vintage Feel to her dress, and just an all around Good Old Fashion Fun type of day!
As you can see from the images, their dream came true!

“Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain”
…….oh and “DANCED” we did!!!
I want to share a little bit about some of our most favorite images and one of our most favorite wedding weekends.
The wedding weekend took place at a little place with so much charm called Herrington on the Bay.
We arrived to the sweetest little group of water front cottages, welcomed by an old fashion porch rocker and the sounds of trickling water fountains throughout.
The wedding party and guests were hosted in an almost a (back in time atmosphere) of a village by the bay.
I can’t even explain how very sweet this hidden gem is. Corey and I will definitely be returning on our own.
Our room over looked the most beautiful water and beach view, Rike and Rick took such great care of us.
Rehearsal night was beautiful, no rain in sight….but the rains that fell the follow day for their wedding day was almost as if someone was holding an overflowing watering can over us throughout the day. No I’m sorry, let me change that to pouring a watering can over us. haha
The thing is in all honesty, pouring rains were NOT going to stop us.
We had a VISION for this stunning couple and we were going to get it for them no matter what it took….and indeed we did.

This stunning couple are not only clients, but they are friends.
We met Rick years ago within the music industry, shortly followed meeting his beautiful Rike.
We had no idea one day we would be documenting the most beautiful, important day of their lives together….but were truly honored.
They are not only beautiful on the outside, but also have the biggest hearts ever!
Always asking if we were ok, if our equipment was ok, never once being concerned of their own well being.
It was truly an amazing thing to witness.

Now, this blog can not go without mentioning their amazing family and friends!
So sweet, so welcoming and seemed so grateful to have us there.
It’s an amazing feeling at the end of the night to give hugs goodbye to people who only a day ago were strangers.

As you can see, I could go on and on about this perfect wedding weekend…..but instead I will let the Images Now Speak for Themselves.
I will however leave you with this quote from the bride herself…
“I didn’t care about the rain at all even though I thought I would be loosing it whenever I thought of possible rain.
For us it really became the best day of our lives!”
Yes we may have literally poured the rain out of our cameras, yes we may have towel dried every connection, yes we may have had wet socks….but in the end,
the above quote is what means “everything” to us.

PLEASE EXCUSE THE OH SO MESSY WET HEADED ERIN it’s a WRAP, BUT IT’S ONE I WILL NEVER FORGET AND CHERISH ALWAYS!!!
No matter how crappy I may have looked, it was sooooo worth it to Dance in the Rain with Rick & Rike

Kendra and Keegan not only started as our clients, but have since turned into our friends!!
They are so much fun to be with. Kendra so bubbly, so full of energy and always smiling…Keegan so relaxed and easy going and making sure everyone around him is taken care of.
You might remember our first connection with this awesome couple for their Engagement Shoot with us.

Their Big Day took place at Rosemont Manor in Berryville, VA.
Wow what a picture perfect setting…as well as the staff being amazing to work with.
From the start of Kendra putting on her beautiful dress, to the crazy fun dancing to the live music of Cazhmiere at the Reception…their day truly was perfection.

Then of course one of our favorite parts….their Photo-Screening!
Kendra was brought to tears as soon as we hit play on their Blu-Ray Flashback. We all four sat and watched as we re-lived their perfect day. Kendra in tears, Keegan holding her hand, Corey and Myself with huge smiles of joy as we watched the two living in their moment. Such an amazing thing.
Next to our SURPRISE they BOUGHT us a THANK YOU GIFT!!! How SWEET is this?!?!?
Beautiful Blenko Glass of WV and our house colors of browns/tans with a touch of Rock’n Red.
Gifts like this are truly priceless to us. To know that our couple thought of US.
We will cherish this beautiful gift always, thank you both.
We LOVE you both and can’t wait for our down time together.

Yesterday Katie and Michael had their Photo-Screening at our Gallery and the looks on their faces were priceless!!!
They are so thrilled with their photos! Katie’s cute little screams while watching her FlashBack Blu-Ray was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

We will never forget the first time meeting this cute couple. Michael was so very shy, he hardly spoke a word at the consultation.
This of course worried us so much, because anyone who knows us…knows how much our connections with our couples mean to us.
Katie promised he was just shy and would surely come around…..and come around he did!!
Michael was so awesome to work with, so easy going, so handsome, so just go with the flow and so funny!
Katie of course was also a dream to work with, she was so very sweet, so pretty, and made sure we were treated like gold the day of the wedding.

We can’t wait to continue our friendship with them…such a great couple!!!
